Davis Melaleuca Tea Tree Shampoo for Dogs

Tea tree freshness for dogs prone to itchy, irritated-looking skin.

• 355ml concentrate
• Dilution: 5:1
• Tea tree oil, vitamin E, wheat germ, rosemary and coconut oil

What it does: A tea tree oil shampoo that cleans and soothes, and leaves the coat fresh. It is diluted less than most of the range, at 5:1, because the formula does more per millilitre.

How to use: Dilute 5:1, which is 1 part product to 5 parts water. In the 500ml Davis dilution bottle that is about 83ml of product, then top up with water. Wet the coat, lather gently, leave 3 to 5 minutes, then rinse until the water runs clear. Every 1 to 2 weeks.

Pairs well with: Finish with Oatmeal Leave-On Conditioner, left in, no rinse. This is our sensitive-skin pairing.

Melaleuca Shampoo FAQ

Why is Melaleuca diluted only 5:1?

It is a stronger formula than most of the range. Mixing it at 5:1, about 83ml in the 500ml bottle, gives the right strength. Mixing it stronger does not help and leaves residue.

Can I use it on cats?

The label lists the animals it is made for. For cats with sensitive skin we suggest starting with the Davis oatmeal routine instead.

What should I use after Melaleuca?

Oatmeal Leave-On Conditioner, worked through the coat and left in.
